There’s no mud when it’s 17° freedom outside. So don’t pack your mud tires.
Do pack your toe spikes for those SPD shoes though. They’ll definitely come in handy when trying to spring up an icy hill with a cycle on your back.

Michelin muds are my favorite CX tire ever and I’ve tried Victoria tubulars. They used to make a file tread called the sprint that was also a great tire when fresh.

Realizing that my WTB Nano’s are 40mm, I picked up a set of Donnelly PDX rubber. They handled incredibly well, considering all the ice.
Are these the Michelins you’re referring to?

Yes the mud 2’s. The donoleys look a lot like the Victoria tread pattern.
